It amazes me that any club would employ Dennis "Cheekie Chappie" Wise in any role. His list of serious misdemeanours over the past twenty years are a testament to nothing but the willingness of football people to overlook thuggery and petulance as nothing but "character".

Millwall did not get rid of a manager who took them to the FA Cup Final for nothing, Leicester did not sack a player for plain "high-jinx".

There are many talented managers (young and old) currently out of work, without the board of a long-term financially struggling club appointing a "profile" boss.

Good luck to all at Swindon, you'll need it... and after the wee git tries to take you to court after his inevitable sacking, your financial worries will return.

The inclusion of Gus Poyet in the management team (great player), reminds me somewhat (though loosely I admit) of Watford's appointment of the Vialli dreamteam that was so distasterous a few years ago.
