Well the reason I am posting this comments after the world cup is over is to gather the evidence to support the fact that it was a conspiracy theory. Well if by now arsenal fans (if u are english, i hope u are listening) still think bringing theo walcott to the world cup have in anyway helped England cause, please be honest and put up ur hand. I am sure if there were another striker in the squad, using a 4-4-2 system, rooney would not be sent off and England most likely would have beaten Portugal. Well now rumor has it that theo walcott is offered to Wigan as a makeshift in a move for Curtis Davis...well wat do u think, english arsenal fans? England got f*** by david dein, arsene and Arsenal...chew on this.

Well, another conspiracy theory scuppered, young Theo made his England bow tonight.

Still, smoke and fire spring to mind regarding DD, but honestly, I think Spurs fans (sorry Alan) should consider each case on its merits, less they become regarded as conspiracy "kooks"!

It does show the paranoia surrounding David Dein's position within the FA while still a driving force behind Arsenal though.

Of course the reality behind the conspiracy theory is easily explained (thanks to David) and the starting line up for England last night was rather indicative of a second string approach being taken.

Next conspiracy theory please!

I find this rather hard to believe, to be honest. The reason it was a B international was probably because Eriksson wanted his players to have as much practice as possible, and since there are only a certain number of dates on which friendly games can be played, it makes sense to have a B international as well to give some of the second choice players a run-out. As for Arsenal not wanting to pay the Walcott money, it seems unlikely because there's a good chance Walcott will get a run out in one of England's two proper friendlies before the World Cup, so why would they go to such trouble to put off paying the money for only a few weeks?
