Have you ever seen an imitation gun (which it now transpires the weapon was)? I have and if some crazy is flashing one in your general direction it would take a brave man to distinguish the difference. You don't know where I'm from Declan so don't jump to conclusions. For the record, let's just say I'm a little closer than you think I am and if I have a comment to make, you can be damn sure I'll make it. I will say that I've enjoyed several great days and nights out in Dublin in my time but my abiding memory is of being robbed at knifepoint in broad daylight on the busiest shopping street in Dublin a week before Christmas. When Mr. Staunton was involved in a violent crime I thought it pertinent to mention my experiences in the same city. To pretend that Dublin is all peace and love is to view it with a dark shade of rose tinted glasses I'm afraid, it's a modern big city for all of the good and bad that entails.
